As of midnight tonight the State of Michigan is under a shelter in place order. Here are my thoughts and suggestions on how we can all get through this together. My family was planning to shelter in place already a few days ago. We went out on our last trip for supplies and that was the end for us. We plan to stay on our homestead for about one or two months.
We have fishing licenses so we do plan to go fishing once the ice is off the lakes. But other than fishing or grabbing some fresh fruits and vegetables now and then, we are not leaving our homestead.
We also plan to grow some fresh salad greens so we may be able to cut out the trips for fresh foods as well, depending on our success at growing food at home.
