AP Woman Wins DGP's Salute for Offering Cold Drinks to Cops | The Quint

A woman from Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari received a surprise call on 18 April – from the police chief of the state. Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Gautam Sawang decided to give Lokamani a salute in person, for offering two policemen deployed on duty a bottle of cold drink. The police department tweet said she purchased the bottle for the cops with her meagre earnings of Rs 3,500 per month.
