[Speaker Bio: Professor David Chan]

Professor David Chan is Professor of Psychology and Director of the Behavioural Sciences Institute at the Singapore Management University. In 2000, he was ranked 9th world-wide in the Top 100 most published researchers in the top industrial and organizational psychology journals. His works have been cited over 10,000 times in various disciplines. He has received numerous international scientific awards including the Scientist-Practitioner Presidential Recognition Award. He has served as Editor or board member for various journals. He writes op-ed articles in The Straits Times. He is consultant to Channel NewsAsia’s scientific programme series Social Experiments and award-winning documentary series Days of Disaster. He is the first scientist in the world to receive Elected Fellow status of all six international psychological organizations.
