Went fishing at the lake and the spring pattern was no single technique but what we call junk fishing. I did however get my first glide bait swimbait fish of 2020 - and she crushed it. The bass are trying to spawn or spawning up shallow. There seems to be a lot of fish cruising the bank eating shad and herring but they are finicky. When they get like this I like to have a variety of fishing lures rigged up on my fishing rods so I can fish through a lot of techniques depending on the area of the lake I'm on. Spring fish will crush Ned Rigs, shallow running crankbaits, small swimbaits, glide baits, and of course soft plastic worms.
