When it comes to the coronavirus pandemic, there are a couple of “indisputable facts,” one of which is “that it came from China, and the Chinese regime didn’t do enough to combat it,” says Sky News host Chris Kenny. Another indisputable fact is the virus is now “creating merry hell in the US,” with President Donald Trump now referring to it as the Chinese virus.
“Now there are plenty of people in the media, in the US and around the rest of the world who want to call the use of this term, racist”.
Mr Kenny said whether people call the virus the Chinese virus, or “ChiCom” in order to highlight the “responsibility of Chinese communist regime, not (the) Chinese people,” none of it changes the “appalling way this was handled by the Beijing regime”.
