WATCH | Police and SANDF raid Soweto shops, enforce lockdown regulations

Gauteng police commissioner Lieutenant-General Elias Mawela led the Covid-19 joint operation with the South African Police Services and South African National Defence Force in Soweto on Thursday.

Officials conducted raids following tip-offs from the community that people were not complying with the rules of the nationwide lockdown. It was alleged that people are selling fake essential services permits to traders.
