There is ‘no wonder’ only 48 per cent of Labor voters see Albanese as preferred PM

There is ‘no wonder’ only 48 per cent of Labor voters see Albanese as preferred PM Sky News host Paul Murray says Labor believes the “only politician who needed to change in the country was Scott Morrison to be a bit more lefty” while it can remain the same as ever going into the post-COVID world.

On Monday Mr Albanese delivered his fifth major nation building statement to a sparsely spread Labor caucus, but the feature of the speech, the “big, bold, new” announcement, was “the very fast train”.

Mr Murray said this is an idea Mr Albanese has brought up more than once in his parliamentary career, but still he insists the prime minister is the one who “needed to change”.

“No wonder only 48 per cent of Labor voters think that he is their preferred prime minister”.
