Sharing my experience as a member of the jury of the "Berytech e-Hackathon 2020" in its first virtual edition, in partnership with IPT Energy Center (IPTEC) alongside Holdal Group and Sustainable Akkar & Lebanon Wind Power. The rise of virtual events is confirming the need to keep the conversation going when it comes to cleantech. The challenges identified by experts should inspire our Lebanese entrepreneurs and startups to innovate in the sector.
This four-day event brought together more than 20+ teams including engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and young professionals from various background. They tackled challenges in Renewable Energy, Waste Management, and Water and Wastewater and were accompanied by mentors and industry experts. 8 teams pitched for the final selection and 4 made it to the first, second and third place.
