Coronavirus: New Brunswick to move Moncton, Fredericton regions to  Yellow alert level New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell announced Sunday that Zone 1 (Moncton and southeastern New Brunswick) and Zone 3 (Fredericton and Central New Brunswick) would return to Yellow alert level restrictions of the province's COVID-19 recovery plan at 12 a.m. on Monday. Russell said Zone 2 (St John, Kings and Charlotte counties) would remain at the Orange alert level.

She said COVID-19 has not gone away in Mocton and Fredericton, but the risks have been reduced. She said two people in hospital right now due to the virus.

Russell also reminded New Brunswickers not to have big holiday gatherings.

“We’ve been able to avoid the disasters from other provinces and we need to keep that up,” she said.

New Brunswick reported four new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
