The U.S. city of Chicago is transforming a convention center into a temporary healthcare facility over concerns of a surge in coronavirus infections. The first 500 beds were unveiled on Friday in the hall that has been home to the Chicago Auto Show. The center is expected to house a further 2,500 beds, and patients with mild symptoms will be transferred there from existing hospitals.
