How do you live with Purpose and Intention? | One Week of Discomfort Experiment. Try it! For a week, I shifted my focus from instant gratification. To reach our goals and become the person that we REALLY want to become, we have to do the hard things now. What will give us immediate gratification is usually not what will serve us the best in the long term. We will naturally follow the path of least resistance, but it is the path with resistance that will make us progress.

I wanted to make this concept into an experiment, and live with a little more resistance than normal, in some aspects of my life. These were the rules:
- No sleeping in, no snoozing, right up at 05 AM.
- Run 8 km (5 miles) every morning.
- No streaming after 6 PM to encourage night reading.
- No sugar consumption.
- Only cold showers for the whole week just to add to the discomfort.

I encourage you to try a version of this yourself. Begin by removing one comfort for a week and see how much you appreciate it when you introduce it back into your life!
