Kaleidoscope Dance Company: Snapshots - A Response to Covid-19

This video project was created by Kaleidoscope Dance Company in response to the social distancing measures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of our annual Spring Concert. The dancers were asked to capture a 20-second solo of themselves in a special place in their homes or outdoor spaces. The solos convey current responses to the coronavirus and the impact the “new normal” is having on their lives. Each dancer selected two or three words to express their feelings through movement. Kaleidoscope Dance Company, founded in 1981, is made up of youth ages 7-17 and is based in Seattle.
